It’s not too late. You can still show the love for your friends and loved ones with one of these lightning fast pins or headbands. All you need are some fabric scraps and a few minutes per heart. If you need a breather from more difficult projects or just want something quick and easy you can make with your kids, this is a great project for Valentine’s Day.
Denim reverse applique hearts
You will need:
Scraps of fabric, cut into squares out of the following materials:
fleece or batting
cotton fabric for a backing
headband elastic (I found mine at Hobby Lobby).

Make stacks of squares of 1. denim 2. print fabric 3. fleece or batting 4. cotton fabric for backing. After you’ve made a stack, give it a press with steam with your iron. Draw on a heart on the denim with a water soluble fabric marker.
Stitch around the hearts on your machine.
Pull apart the stitched layers to
Trim the edge of the hearts within 1/4″ of the stitching line, then sew lines at random across the hearts.
use E-6000 to secure pin backs.
Cover your pillows with pins!
stuffed friends like wearing them too!
Stitch on loops of foldover elastic for a headband.
Wear one headband if you’re the sensible type.
Or wear them all at once!
